Service Area
The Novamami team's services cover all districts of Zurich as well as numerous surrounding communities. Our practice is located in the shopping center of city-adjacent Uitikon Waldegg, in close proximity to Physio Circle, Pilates Circle, a pharmacy, and doctors' offices. In addition to ample parking, the center is also easily accessible by public transport: S10 and bus lines 201, 215, 220, 235, 245, and 350.
What does health insurance cover in Switzerland?
Swiss basic insurance fully covers the following
services:
- Seven pregnancy check-ups with a midwife or a gynecologist.
- A contribution of 150 francs toward a consultation or a birth preparation course with a midwife.
- Up to 16 postpartum visits after birth for a first child, multiple births, premature births, or after a C-section (within eight weeks of giving birth).
- Up to 10 postpartum visits from the second child onwards (also within eight weeks of giving birth).
- Three breastfeeding consultations, either in person or by phone. In the case of a high-risk pregnancy or with a medical prescription, additional services may be covered by basic insurance.
- In addition, many supplementary insurance plans contribute to further services related to pregnancy and childbirth.
